As populations grow and cities become more crowded, there is pressure throughout the world to construct an ever-taller building to provide accommodation and offices. Many people object to such developments, citing the social as well as the physical dangers.
Do you agree with objections to skyscrapers?
Answer:
The increasing demand for space and housing by dwellers has become one of the issues around the world. Although some opinions claim that certain social, as well as physical dangers, are attributed to such building, those cannot be denied that the invention of tall building or skyscrapers has benefits for organizations in the geographical limitations or a particular area in cities.
In my opinions, there will be maximum space and available area while skyscrapers are built in a limited geographical area of a certain city. The only solution for people to possess space especially big cities for land is to increase skyscrapers at moderate expenses. Taking as an example, a city like Jakarta in Indonesia, where Jakarta City has the land prices which are very high has been erecting a huge building for the residential and commercial purpose. Those result in the huge amount of money and land for individuals and organizations. So, people can run and control business then live within the city limits, however, large areas are not available in big cities.
Moreover, skyscrapers can be a benefit as an outstanding look to the skyline of the city center and an aesthetic fashion, which are constructed such high rise structures and those buildings are certainly able to be the landmarks of the cities. There can be illustrated such as Opera House in Sydney and World Trade Center in New York believed by many architects that taller buildings have greater scope for architectural liberties. On the other hand, there are people believe that such building is often at greater risk of crumbling down, which might cause massive damage to life and property. Furthermore, the limited space-lived congests with people and cars apart from the enormous advantages.
In conclusion, more and more dwellers and communities developing such skyscrapers can enjoy the city living over with the aim to supporting purposes.
