The presented bar chart informs how much
time spent on using the three types of telephone calls in Britain between 1995
and 2002, measured in billions of minutes. Clearly though local fixed line was the
highest figure all the time, the other two categories were the ones which kept experiencing
a persistent incline.
Standing out at above 70 in 1995, local
line far led the remained lines. It was twice higher than national and international
line while the gap was even much bigger compared to mobiles. It then increased
slightly before reaching a peak at exactly 90 in 1999. The following years
merely experienced a gradual decrease, yet this still was the most popular
calling scheme.
In contrary, both National-International
and Mobile calls witnessed a marked up trend. Though not too significant, the
former increased from just below 40 around 60 minutes (billions) during an
8-year period. The later was going through the biggest change from a very small
number (around 3) to just a little bit under the categories) more or less 45). It
was 6 or 7 times bigger than the initial state.
